Teens and Adults

I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music ('04) with a degree in Film Scoring. I started playing violin at the age of 8 and then picked the guitar around the age of 12. I have taught privately at a School of Rock as a guitar/bass instructor and the performance program director for two years. I have continued to privately teach guitar, bass and music theory. I thoroughly enjoy seeing my students grow both as a musicians and as an adult, I find it to be the most rewarding part of teaching!
In addition to teaching, I work as a freelance audio engineer in the LA area. Some of my clients include Ringo Starr, Robert DeLeo (STP), Gary Wright (Dream Weaver) and many others. I also continue to play in rock bands at local LA clubs like the Troubadour, the Viper Room, the Satellite and others.

I taught at a School of Rock for 2 years as a guitar / bass instructor and performance program director. As the peformance program director, I ran weekly 3 hour rehearsals for 15+ students. In addition to running these rehearsals I had to select each student for specific songs, coach them along in each rehearsal and prepare them for a club performance. As a private instructor, my students ranged from ages 6 to 50 with different skill levels on their instruments.
After School of Rock, I have continued to teach privately as a guitar / bass / theory instructor. I can readily provide parent and student references upon request.
