Bio

I began playing guitar at the age of 11 in 1995. I have been playing and teaching professionally since 1999. I started teaching at Music-Go-Round and other local retail shops in Beavercreek, Ohio. Shortly thereafter, I attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio where I graduated with a Bachelor's of Music degree in Classical Guitar Performance. Since then, I have stayed very busy with a variety of playing, teaching, recording, and transcribing projects.

After I graduated from college, I taught for Capital University's Community Music School for about a year. Then, I decided to move to Chicago to further my playing and teaching career. I worked 8 years as a transcriber, guitar teacher, and music education consultant for JamPlay.com. During that time, I continued to teach private lessons from my own guitar studio. Over the past few years, I've been playing in singing in a rock band called Dead Parade in addition to teaching. I also play classical guitar at restaurants, weddings, and other special events.
