Bio

I've been playing music since I was about 7 years old. The Violin and Alto Saxophone were my first instruments, but I switched to the guitar when I was about 12 years old. Since then music and the guitar have been central in my life. I am received a degree in Music with a focus in Jazz Studies University of Pittsburgh. I have been lucky enough to study under legendary Pittsburgh jazz guitarist and world renowned pianist Geri Allen. In addition I play throughout Pennsylvania with my own funk and fusion band, The Clock Reads.

I have worked for a Non-profit Creative.Life.Support that hosts music camps for musicians generally age 10-18 . They hold a summer camp call Real Life Music Camp at Mr. Smalls Recording studio where I assisted students in composing their own music, recording, and performance. Additionally Creative.Life.Support holds another longer camp called the We Rock Workshop where I am currently working with underprivileged foster youth from the surrounding Pittsburgh areas assisting the them over a 3 month period in composing original music, recording, and a musical performance at the end of the session.

In addition to teaching privately I work at a small studio in Cranberry teaching mostly guitar and some beginner piano and drums. I have also run group lessons for elementary school kids for ukelele.
