I've been a Musician for almost 30 years. After being a composer and producer for one of the biggest media networks in Europe I toured extensively with several European artists and when I moved to the USA in 2001, I decided to focus on my passion of teaching Music and took all my experience to create my teaching program.
I teach what you, the student, wants to learn. I help you maximize your gifts and help you improve on your weaknesses. I really take a lot of time and effort in making the lessons engaging, interactive and fun. All of the learning materials you will receive during the lessons are professionally printed and when we learn specific songs you will receive a copy of the actual music transcription along with a professionally recorded backing track to practice along to.
Just in the past year I have seen students of mine get in the top 50 on American Idol, perform on the Late Show with David Letterman, go on worldwide tours and record critically acclaimed albums. They have also won scholarships and have been accepted in some of the best music colleges around the world.
But even if you don't plan to make music a career and just consider it just a hobby I will help you become the best at that too!
My youngest student is 5 years old and my oldest is 69 so I truly teach all ages, any style at any level.
Give my lessons a try. There is no big commitment!
Here are a couple of testimonials:
Brian Macdonald (Mandolin, Guitar & Vocalist for Judah & The Lion):
"Andrew played a big part in me continuing to pursue my musical dreams. He tailored each lesson to the individual. He knows that each student is different and unique. This was huge for me growing up because I felt like I was learning things that I was excited about. This is the key in my opinion: having a teacher that makes you excited about what you're doing. Once it becomes arduous, it's easy to lose the enjoyment in music. Andrew did a great job of making sure I was enjoying what I was learning!! 5 STARS!"
Kayla Mickelsen (Top 50 contestant on Season Finale of American Idol):
"Honestly one of the best music teachers out there! He made my transition from piano to guitar quite easy and never failed to make it fun! He continues to push me out of my comfort zone, yet take into consideration what I like and want to play. Genuinely awesome music program, and genuinely, talented, awesome guy. He really wants all of his students to succeed and is one of my biggest supporters!!"
